Precast Construction Services
Let’s take a look at off-site manufacturing. If, for example, you have to build retaining walls on-site you're going to need more hands on deck, it can be weather dependent, and - as a rule of thumb - you’re reliant on a whole range of factors that are out of your control. Even with the best planning and preparation in the world, the risk of something going wrong remains high.
Off-site manufacturing significantly reduces this risk.Â
It reduces construction time, allows for better quality control, increases sit labour productivity, and results in less waste. Precasting or prefabricating parts off-site for a construction project will reduce the size of your site teams and make them more productive. It helps you be more cost-efficient, profitable and sustainable.
Precast retaining walls will require a suitable foundation, or concrete base to be installed onto. Our contracts team can construct foundations to any design specification that has been provided by a structural engineer.
Â
In addition to the groundworks and foundations, we can also pour mass concrete and reinforced concrete floors. Floor slabs can be cast with a specified gradient to enable liquids to flow into a drainage system.
Our contract teams’ primary function is to provide precast installation services to our customers for our precast products. Their knowledge and experience in precast installation ensures the units are installed correctly and your project is delivered on time.
Some projects require a specialist coating to be applied to the precast products if exposed to aggressive materials. Other applications may require joints to be sealed for the containment of liquids. We can supply & apply a range of sealers, mastics & joint sealing systems, to suit.
Risk assessments and methods statements are provided as standard on all our precast installation projects. In addition to this, we also have CPCS certified Appointed Person, Slinger/Signaller & Crane Supervisor to ensure the units are installed safely.
If the site ground conditions do not meet the required bearing capacity for our products or structures, we can discuss ground improvement systems, such as; vibro-pilling, vibro-compaction and concrete columns.
Our in-house contracts teams include CITB certified - SSSTS (Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme). All of our site personnel have the relevant skills and training to work on construction projects in the UK.
In addition to our site supervisors, we also have site managers with SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certificates. We are committed to providing a safe working environment for our site teams.
We can provide a range of site survey services, including; setting out and levels, topographical surveys and complex laser-scanner surveys & modelling. For some of these services, we work with external teams.
