We partnered with Parkway Construction to tackle a heavy-duty project at Maylands Avenue, Hemel Hempstead. This one called for 165 meters of retaining walls, handling a surcharge load of 50kN/m².
Heights ranged from 1.4 to 3.85 meters, with some walls tipping the scales at nearly 10 tons each. Safe to say, these walls weren’t your average lightweight modular units.

With terrain and load demands this hefty, precision was key. Each wall was custom-designed to handle high pressure and adapt to the site’s unique needs. The bulkier, units were built to align seamlessly on-site, ensuring stability and functionality without compromise. Our modular approach kept everything on track, delivering durability without the usual on-site delays.
The result is a tough, reliable setup capable of handling high loads and rough terrain. Parkway Construction now has retaining walls built to last and custom-fitted to their exact requirements – without breaking the timeline (or their backs).
