earth bank retaining wall
The highways division of Leicester City Council got in touch about a riverside retaining wall that failed on the river Sour, opposite the National Space Centre.
They needed a new low-level retaining wall that could be built quckly to make the footpaths safe to walk on.
The council's design team had looked at several options, including a king-post wall with steels and timber sleepers - but the construction time for all options was too long.
The M3 team reviewed the existing design and the site layout and suggested using the modular retaining wall range from JP Concrete.
This precast wall is available in 6m lengths - longer than any other precast L-wall in the UK.
