The highways division of Leicester City Council got in touch about a riverside retaining wall that failed on the river Sour, opposite the National Space Centre.
They needed a new low-level retaining wall that could be built quckly to make the footpaths safe to walk on.
The council’s design team had looked at several options, including a king-post wall with steels and timber sleepers – but the construction time for all options was too long.
